Apparently one has to experience the #kerala Backwaters 🌿 As a first time visiter to #india I expected it to be dirty, however I never knew just HOW bad it really was. The amount of plastic and rubbish floating around in the rivers and the Arabian Sea is insane. The amount found along the beaches just makes me incredibly sad. A country as vast as India I understand that there are difficulties in controlling the amount of waste created... I had just hoped that there was some sort of system in place that would benefit not just people of India but the rest of the world 🙄 I don’t know what I want to say with this post but I felt it was worth mentioning... These pictures are stunning but unfortunately do not reflect reality 💔 I know I do very little by contributing to @4ocean and they may not be targeting the Indian coast lines yet but at least I know that they try their very best to clean up our oceans, while at the same time providing work to locals 💙 #backwatersofkerala#honestpost#letswakeupandstartcleaningupouroceans#coloursofindia#dowhatyoucan#everylittlehelps#dayout
Travelling in a houseboat in Alleppey is not just a matter of exquisite window views. It is an enchanting experience in itself.
There are many cruise routes to choose from including Alappuzha, Kumarakom and Cochin. My houseboat was in Alleppey. And this was my 4th day in Kerala.
Kerala tour can never be complete without experiencing a houseboat cruise in the backwaters of Kerala. ❤️❤️ #pragyapathaktravels
