As the sun sets on #Miami, and all the loveliness that is #artbasel, we head home back to New York. But #staytuned! We've definitely got some great plans and announcements coming up this week! #FrancoisMedia
Hi :) What do you do to relax on Sundays? You do relax don't you? :)
The most recent research suggests that Stories (on both Insta + FB) are a more powerful and easier way to quickly reach your audience. From other marketers I have heard that Stories that feature faces get more reach in the algorithms.⠀
So what does that mean for you and your business? Get out in front of the camera more often to connect and reach your audience. As I always say, people do business with people not brands, so don't be afraid to show the real you.⠀
This can be super tough, I struggle with it myself, so you are not alone in having a hard time getting behind the camera. What has worked for me is to start with short videos more often and increasing the length of videos from there.⠀
What suggestions do you have for other businesses owners that have worked for you?

My patina perfection is finally done! I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. Swipe left to see all the pictures! What do you think? All done with @dixiebellepaint of course!
pretty adorable haul at @love.the.locals today. so many talented creatives! was a blast to be a customer and leisurely stroll around with my coffee this year. don’t worry though, we’ll be back next year!
p.s. the tree in the lower left is from The Pom Pom in the Yard. sweet Nettie 🦄💕 was slinging beautiful goods with her mama @fernandthefawn and grandma @opendoortextiles. buncha dreamy artists in that family. xo
I'm imagining a courtyard bar, it's a balmy summer evening and there's flowers absolutely everywhere sharing with us their sweet sweet scents. A waiter would come buy, ready to take our next order, and we'd have to restrain ourselves from the cry-laughing just so we can get words out. A citrus gin for me please! I'd say. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want this to be a real scenario, you and I sat across from one another sharing a heart to heart and teary laughter. We could share some real thoughts, and real things that have happened and how that's made us feel. We'd probably apologise for crying and getting over emotional, but we'd both feel lighter for having shared those moments, and we'd hug it out until that hug filled us with real love and warmth and light. It'd be the kind of hug that reassures us that someone gets it, whatever the 'it' might be for us at the time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, since this scenario might not be real - yet. Let this be a reminder for you. I want to say that you're beautiful, you are worth it, your dreams are worth chasing, whatever you were able to get done today is enough, and you are worthy of all the good things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But also, a reminder to you to show up for yourself and the people you love the way you are online. Make sure the life you are living is far more beautiful than the highlight reel you've been posting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's so easy to get bogged down in the reel of social media, but that's I'm here. Cheers to the beautiful women doing incredible things, little life reminders when we need them the most and cheers to logging off every once inawhile to just experience life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What would you order in my little scenario? I'm a total gin and mojito girl, what about you?
HI all, For those who may new our page, my name is Destiny Oribhabor and I am the founder of DU! Often, I get those asking and hitting us up wondering who is behind Destiny Unveiled. Welp, it’s me! Truly my heart isn’t to be front row and center. I love collaborating and putting other stories and women at the forefront. However, I am learning not to disregard myself in the process. Chile, ISSA process. Few fun facts, when people call me Des I secretly get really happy. I love nicknames! Ha. Also, if you see me wearing this skirt alll throughout the Holiday season, DON’T HATE! :) .
What I want to share today is that Joy, sadness and suffering can hold hands. It can coexist. I am in a space in my walk with Christ where I am amazed by our relationship. That I have so much Joy in my heart, while also praying for things to come full circle in my life. .
I have been following along an Advent study via @shereadstruth and it continues to put things into perspective. There is power in waiting and this season I am reminded of the expectation and wait of His coming. This place is NOT my home. But in the meantime I wait with expectation and hope. If you are a down this season, I pray and Hope you focus on the KING. Only He can transform our hearts. Love you much!
Confession: I never really understood obsessive dog people. 😆 I’ve always been about that cat LYFE. But now I get it, I really do. 🐶
One of my favorite art museums in LA is Hauser and Wirth. It has so many special vignettes to explore along with incredible exhibitions that each time ai visit I find something new that captures my attention. I want to return to this spot with a sketchbook and sit quietly and reflect on art + creativity.
DAY 2 #JMXMAS — A year in review ☺️ I kept seeing checklists for the year ahead or for the end of year, so I wanted to do something a little bit different with a focus on reflecting on the year that has been 2019 🗓
I’ve also written a wee blog blog reviewing my year and would so love to hear some of your answers to these prompts.
And for the second day of #Christmas (I’m so out of whack with the days hehe please excuse me), I’ve created my very first @canva templates of the actual graphics in this post if you wanted to share your own 2019 review! 🥳 They can also be used on Ps as well. It’s taken me so long to branch into this particular platform because of the sharing issues, but I think I’ve finally got that covered. You can purchase the templates on @creativemarket, just follow the link in bio!
Hope you are all having a very merry holiday season so far, and remember to reflect on your year and celebrate those wins, and learn from those lows! 🎄🧡
Morning church with the fam, watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey style, of course!), and wrapping presents - rainy Sundays like this are my favorite!
Does anyone else love wrapping presents as much as me? If not, feel free to drop yours off at my front door and I'll wrap 'em all up for you! 😁
As the year winds down and I finish up my editing, it has dawned on me how isolating this work can be. During my busiest times I don’t realize how much I miss out on. I don’t notice my lack of deep, soulful friendships. The days pass by so quickly April-November, and then BAM— December arrives. From the sidelines I watch people celebrating with friends and family, enjoying the season of togetherness. I admit I don’t always make the effort to cultivate relationships like I want to. That’s partly due to anxiety, but I know my job and business are also to blame. I guess it’s hard to stay connected and involved during the year when you have to pour so much of yourself into work. Am I the only one who feels the consequences of that? I’ve got to do better in 2020...💞✨✌🏻
