How much time are you putting into nutrition and recovery? Remember any type of training: cardio or weightlifting, none actually result in growth. All exercising does is break down muscle fibers in a good way! What you consume each day in terms of calories and how often you sleep (hours) will be the two MAIN factors of growth! For athletes seeking peak performance, you must be consuming more calories than you burn for the day(surplusdeficit). Sleep is another factor, lets be honest the recommended 8+ hours simply is NOT realistic for the majority. I would say 6 hours is a good amount, no less. Someone like myself that lives a very active lifestyle, it is essential to stay hydrated throughout the day and keep my calories high! If you are someone that puts all your energy into training, but slacks on the recovery aspect, you are missing out on your maximum potential! Want to get bigger, stronger, faster you must put equal effort into both training and recovery, simple as that! Here I have some beautiful cuts of steak and chicken skewers. I love red meat and would recommend it to anyone. Some say it is unhealthy, causes cancer, bad for your stomach etc. For me it works and I wake up feeling great each day!

#squatchallenge is back on this week. We have two more weeks on this challenge and I’m wondering what would I do next??

I combined this squat with some cardio. A great mix of strength and cardio. Get strong and get lean. .

Today’s is Back squats. Going heavy for my intermediate and advance athletes. 
Find you 3 heavy but manageable to do  5 rounds!! It should be challenging but able to complete all 3 reps. 
Place a barbell/sandbag/dumbbells behind your neck. Barbell and sandbag can rest on your traps. Dumbbells will rest on top of shoulders. Keep chest up, heels down, feet placed under hips and squat as low as you can. Maintain good form and bracing your core as you rise with the barbell. Take a bike/rower or run for 2.5 minutes. .
Complete every 4 mins: 
3 back squats 
Row/bike or run for 2.5 minutes.

Bet you didn’t think that was gonna happen when you put your socks on this morning!
Often times when we are in a more voluminous phase of training, your max lifts fall a tad due to fatigue. Just because this happens doesn’t mean you’re not in shape. It just means wait until you drop that volume down a little. The numbers will fly up ;) Great job @adam.withinton on this 1 kg snatch PR when he least expected it. I think if you told him he’d hit this before the session he might’ve laughed at you.
Also @nicole.marie.mc.49kg , your move...
