And if you don’t take the time to reset and recharge...you may face fatigue and mental exhaustion. Don’t get me wrong..stimulating the mind is essential👆🏻! In fact...a recent article in the Wall Street Journal highlights a recent study that shows cognitive (mind) stimulation among a few other actions may help prevent Alzheimer’s!  Here’s the summary of the modifiable factors...that means you have the ability to take steps:

1.  Blood pressure - managing your blood pressure and keeping it normal allows more blood to go to the brain...more blood means more oxygen means more nourishment for the brain cells. ✅
2. Exercise - same concept as BP. Moving the body fuels the mind! ✅
3.  Diet - The Mediterranean diet and variations there of are associated with lower risk of developing dementia. As I am from Israel this is right up my alley! ✅
4.  Sleep - Restore and repair are key processes that help calm the mind and body.✅

My place in this space ;) I’ve been feeling particularly grateful lately for meditation. Most of you know I’m a pretty non-judgemental type, but allowing however I feel is not always my strong suit. And that is from very quiet, very old judgements. Even if it’s judgement that it’s not a safe space. Or judgement on what the feeling means. That’s what I mean when I say judgement. The ability to start to get behind all of that and allow in the present with out being swept up by it, can not be overstated. The moment in this picture was hard for me. But I had my Jess, thank god. And I was grateful for all of it. Even though in the moment I couldn’t get behind my feelings of hiding. But there I am. None the less.
